WHO IS BEHIND MONDAY MOVERS?

No Monday Movers review would be complete without providing a little background on Jason Bond, the self-made millionaire trader behind the service. A former grade school gym teacher, Jason Bond started trading swing stocks in the mid-2000s and quickly made a name for himself as one of the premier traders after developing a winning strategy that involves making weekend swing trades on momentum stocks.

Bond isn’t just a stock trader. He’s an acclaimed public speaker, author, and entrepreneur. With his mentor, Jeff Bishop, Bond created RagingBull.com, which was recently included in the 2019 Inc. 5000 Guide’s list of fastest-growing American companies. Over the years, Bond has perfected his trading strategy to climb out of $250,000 in personal debt and accrue a multi-million dollar fortune. Today, he pays for everything in cash, is debt-free, and owns no credit cards. He began Monday Movers as a single newsletter and successfully bootstrapped it into one of the largest global investment products for swing traders.

In our view, Monday Movers is an all-in-one swing trading education service for amateur and novice traders. His approach focuses on small cap swing trades made between Friday and Monday. Bond’s strategy often, but not always, results in big profits including returns between 100 and 200% thanks to his proprietary stock scanner and other tools used to find high-growth momentum stocks.

WHAT IS MONDAY MOVERS? IS IT A SCAM?

In our opinion, Monday Movers is certainly NOT a scam. But that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. In fact, there are many traders and investors who are better off passing on Monday Movers, especially risk-averse traders or those who are close to retirement age.

After testing out the service for nearly a year, we can confirm that Jason Bond’s Monday Movers is a legitimate swing trading education service that offers subscribers real, accessible trade alerts and a wealth of tutorial videos. Even though it doesn’t offer a reliable refund policy, Monday Movers is backed by thousands of four and five-star customer reviews on sites like TrustPilot. Keep in mind, however, that we’ve heard of customers who’ve been denied a refund after requesting one, and Monday Movers always requires a phone call with a customer service rep if you want to cancel. In our books, this is one of the biggest drawbacks of the service.

It bears repeating: Monday Movers does not have a good refund policy. You can’t just call in and cancel your subscription and expect your money back. As much as this hurts to hear, this is quickly becoming the norm among investment subscription services. However, Jason does claim to offer a “risk-free 30-day money back guarantee” once you’ve completed the learning center. We haven’t heard of anyone actually taking Jason up on the guarantee, however, and we imagine you’ve got to put up a stink with a customer service rep to see your money back.

Still, we think Monday Movers ranks among the most reputable swing trading education platforms available online. To date, Bond’s services have been featured on all of the following respected national media outlets:

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE WITH MONDAY MOVERS

Monday Movers comprises several courses, features, and tools that we think pack a lot of value. With an annual subscription to Monday Movers, you get access to each of the following services:

  • Weekend Gameplan – Jason’s Weekend Gameplan is the bread and butter of Monday Movers. The Weekend Gameplan is a watchlist of stocks that Jason believes will move for big gains over the weekend.
  • Jason’s Vault – A package of videos that Bond once sold for $4,996, this includes Penny Stocks 101, The Basics of Swing Trading, Stock Options Explained, and The House Always Wins. Jason’s Vault is a crash course that provides in-depth, hands-on lessons to become a better trader.
  • Real-Time Trade Alerts – 1-3 buy and sell trade alerts sent out every per week via email and through push alerts sent via the RagingBull Mobile App. Although not all of these are winners, most of them are, and that’s all you need to become a successful trader.
  • Stock of the Month Report – Bond provides you with an in-depth analysis of his favorite stock that money, which includes fundamental and technical analyses. Reading the Stock of the Month Report helps traders find depressed stocks and offers advice and metrics for finding your own momentum stocks.
  • Jason’s Masterclass – A replay of Jason’s highly acclaimed 12-week course that provides the fundamentals of stock trading and swing trading.
  • Members-Only Chatroom – Subscribers get access to RagingBull.com, where they can chat with other traders in a Discord-like chatroom that features hard-nosed, uncensored trading and investing talk.

Keep in mind that these services change from time to time, so it is a good idea to check out his site to see if Jason has added or removed anything before subscribing.

MONDAY MOVERS WEEKLY GAMEPLAN AND VIDEO ARCHIVE

In our books, the main selling point of Monday Movers is its flagship feature: the Weekend Gameplan. Here Jason informs you every week of the big plays he’ll make over the weekend. After testing it out ourselves, we can tell you that not every prediction or trade will be a winner. In fact, I’m pretty sure Jason would be the first to admit that. But the Weekend Gameplan can tip you off to potential big winners, and it’s up to you to decide whether the trade is worth the risk. In our experience, they usually are.

In addition, we loved the 1-3 weekly trade alerts sent via push notifications and SMS messages. This is where the real value of the subscription lies. Simply following Jason’s weekly and daily trade advice will likely make you a more successful trader. However, it’s not enough that you follow his advice blindly. To be successful in the long term, you’ve got to teach yourself the basics of swing trading. Over time, you have to develop your own system.

Subscribers to Monday Movers have the chance to do just that by providing you with access to Jason’s Masterclass, Stock of the Month Report, and Jason’s Vault video archive. There’s literally months’ worth of content included in these features that provide thousands of dollars worth of no-nonsense trading advice. If you want to become a self-taught trader just like Jason, these features provide everything you need to get started.

With the Stock of the Month Report, you learn the fundamentals of stock analysis, such as how to read their relative strength index (RSI) and moving average convergence divergence (MACD). Despite having years of investing experience under our belts, we weren’t familiar with these terms either. After reading a few Stock of the Month reports, we learned more in a half an hour than what we’d get in a full day of reading Investopedia or watching basic YouTube tutorials. That’s what we love most about Jason’s services—they don’t simply tell you which stocks to trade, but why. They provide a full rationale and justification behind each momentum trade, so you can learn the tricks of the trade yourself. For us, that’s worth the ticket price alone.

You can’t ignore the core concepts of trading if you want to make money in the stock market. Jason Bond, as an educator himself, understands this. Jason’s Vault and Masterclass elucidate the fundamentals of swing trading and pack years’ worth of educational material on risk analysis, volatility research, chart patterns, and more. In our view, this is where the real value of Monday Movers lies.

MONDAY MOVERS COST, REFUND, AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

There was once a time when Monday Movers was offered on a quarterly membership structure and offered several membership tiers. Recently, the service moved to a flat year-long subscription model. Although we weren’t a big fan of the move, we do think that the simplified subscription structure makes it easier for users to get started. The cost for this service is $799 per year. You must pay for the year in advance to become a member, and automatic annual renewals are applied every year unless you decide to opt-out. To avoid paying for an additional year, be sure to contact their support team at least a week or two before your subscription ends.

Monday Movers is by far the most affordable of any service offered by Jason Bond. For this reason, we think it provides the best bang for your buck. For instance, the next-cheapest service is Jason’s “Jason Bond Picks: Stocks” program, which currently retails for $1,497 per annum and features only a couple of services not included in Monday Movers.

Jason’s cancellation policy can be a bit frustrating, to say the least. In most cases, they have a no-refund policy that is strictly enforced. This is justified, in Jason’s opinion, because customers immediately benefit from “time-sensitive training and education.” It is one area where some rival services, such as Capitalist Exploits, has a big advantage. If you’re sensitive to risk, you might be better off choosing another service.

VIDEO REVIEW

IN SUMMARY

Monday Movers has its share of negative reviews, like any investment service, but the majority reflect our opinion that it’s worth the money. Jason himself has been widely featured on highly respected media outlets including the NYSE, Forbes, and The Street. Even if some of his trade alerts turn out to be duds, you can’t deny the fact that his Monday Movers package offers an invaluable amount of insider knowledge contained in its vault of videos and how-to articles. Every Monday Movers subscription comes with full access to training courses, day trading playbooks, and webinars that Jason conducts personally. We’ve even seen cases where Jason responds to customer support emails himself—try finding that kind of service anywhere else!

At first, we thought the cost of the program was a bit steep, but, in fact, it’s a pretty good deal compared to some comparable swing trading services out there. Monday Movers currently retails for $799 per year (amounting to $67.50 per month, which you can make back with just one successful margin trade). After buying a subscription and testing it out for the better part of a year, we think Jason could charge quite a bit more for this service. The fact that it’s arguably underpriced is a good sign—it means that Jason has his customers’ best interests at heart. The biggest qualm we have with Monday Movers is that it doesn’t have a comprehensive refund policy, but unfortunately this is becoming the new norm among stock trading education services.

Overall, we think Monday Movers is worth a shot. If you want a reliable and time-tested weekend trading strategy, Monday Movers is the subscription for you. It’s definitely worth trying for beginners or even intermediate investors. It’s unique in that no other service we reviewed has taken Jason’s approach. The worst thing that can happen is you lose a few trades, but you’ll learn a lot about Jason Bond’s methodology in the process, which will help you become a better trader overall.

In a nutshell: Monday Movers seeks out depressed stocks to take advantage of weekend price action and the results, more often than not, reward you handsomely. What’s there not to like? We say give it a try, you can get started risk-free for 30 days.
